Chairman & CEO
Pavlo Protopapa is the Chairman & CEO of SpaceCode. Prior to founding SpaceCode in 2005, Pavlo was the Chief Financial Officer of the Steinmetz Diamond Group (1998-2012), one the world's largest diamond companies, and represented it on the board of Sotheby's Diamonds Holdings.
Pavlo serves as a non-executive director of Socure Inc., the industry leader in real-time online identity verification solutions, and MidatechPharma PLC, a global leader in the design, synthesis and manufacture of nanomedicines.
Pavlo studied economics, accounting and commercial law at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and completed his articles at KPMG in 1993.
Holder of a 6th degree black belt in the Japan Karate Association (JKA), Pavlo became the first non-Japanese men's world champion at the 1994 JKA world championships in Philadelphia, USA.
Global Sales Director
George is responsible for pioneering and implementing Spacecode’s RFID inventory management solutions throughout the diamond industry, achieving market adoption by the world’s largest manufacturers and sales offices and elevating Spacecode into the global leader in RFID systems for the diamond industry. George also leads the company’s healthcare sales team in providing the medical industry with the same comprehensive inventory management solutions. An end-to-end specialist, he works closely with distributors worldwide to ensure they receive full and ongoing operational support. George studied electrical engineering in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Vice President Technology
A specialist engineer in microelectronics, Eric has extensive experience in custom analog and digital ID design and development, including bipolar, CMOS, BiCMOS, and ASIC processes, as well as ROM and EEPROM memory programs. He led the successful development of Spacecode's advanced semiconductor technology over a period of 10 years, its integration into RFID tag designs, and the building and deployment of custom applications for the company's target industries.
Vice President Engineering
Christophe's expertise is in electronics and electromagnetics, with specific experience in telecommunications, high-frequency signals and antennas, and algorithm, hardware, and antenna components of Radio Frequency systems. For the past 10 years he has led the successful development and completion of Spacecode's core hardware and software technology and its integration into customers' Enterprise Resource Systems. Christophe studied ENSEA electronics and computer science in Paris.
Originally from Australia, Cathy graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science from Sydney University, a postgraduate diploma in Public Health from Curtin University, and an MBA from the University of New England, Australia. Cathy has had a successful career across multiple industries in Asia, Europe and Australia, with a focus on healthcare and the diamond industry. In healthcare, she was involved with client care as well as service development, research development and total quality management. Prior to joining SpaceCode, Cathy worked for 10 years at one of the world's leading diamond groups where she oversaw the global compliance program and financial accounts.
Head of India Operations
Senthil is responsible for Spacecode's RFID inventory management solution in Mumbai and Surat. Senthil is an IT specialist and has led multiple software projects. His experience abroad includes six years in Chicago as a project manager handling different clients to provide enterprise solutions. Prior to joining SpaceCode, he led teams at Infosys delivering Microsoft cloud-based solutions. Senthil obtained his bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from Bharathiyar University in 2004.
Originally from Argentina, Ignacio relocated to Switzerland in 2002 and founded Elysium, a leading visual design and technology company. He has more than 20 years’ experience, from coding and 3D modeling to graphic design, web applications, iOS and Android native applications. Ignacio and his team develop special projects involving software, mobile platforms, design and video. He graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 1993 with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering. His other interests include triathlons, cycling, movies and music.
Born and raised in New Zealand, Alissa studied Political Science at the University of Auckland and served as Education Vice President of the student union. Alissa worked as a speechwriter and international PR for an NGO prior to joining the diamond industry. She served as CMO of the Israel Diamond Institute – the umbrella organization of the Israeli Diamond Industry. In 2009 Alissa joined the Rapaport Group as their Global CMO, from 2013 she worked on establishing the Rapaport Show division, directed The Diamond Show in Basel and served as COO of the Rapaport Information Services Division. She worked in Tel Aviv-based startups prior to joining the Spacecode team.
