PLEXUS DiamondJewel Tags
The Diamond Tag is a rectangular 64 x 36 mm flexible, converted adhesive RFID label placed on a silicon paper liner. An additional pre-cut appendage can be removed or retained as part of the main inlay for printing additional information if necessary.
The association between the tag’s unique RFID identifier and the item number located in a database can be programmed automatically for high-volume tag initialization on the PLEXUS™ RFID Printer. By default the tag’s identifier (2D Barcode – 10 digits) is printed on the Device Label.
The Diamond Tag was designed for the diamond industry and similar applications – its size matches standardized diamond parcel dimensions – and for optimal performance within the PLEXUS™ cabinet range. It can also be used in other applications where close proximity or 3D reading is required for large tag populations.
The Diamond Inlay is a rectangular 62 x 32 mm flexible RFID inlay, laminated top and bottom with a protective transparent foil. A self-adhesive label carrying a barcode number corresponding to the chip unique identifier number or any other graphical information can be applied manually to this inlay.
The Diamond Inlay was designed for the diamond and related industries and applications – to be placed inside a diamond parcel for multiple reuses within a diamond workflow process. It can also be used in other applications where close proximity or 3D reading is required for large tag populations.
The Pearl Inlay, 30mm x 20mm, has been developed specifically for attachment to and integration with labels affixed to pearls and other gemstones. The dimensions of the tag have been calculated based on maximum performance and optimal form factor for the gems. The Pearl Inlay is used with all of SpaceCode’s PLEXUS SmartDevices.
The Emerald Inlay is optimised for performance and design when used in jewelry applications. The inlay is applied or affixed to jewelry items where robust, reliable, but discreet tags are required. The Emerald Inlay is used with all of SpaceCode’s PLEXUS SmartDevices.
The Ruby Inlay is a cylindrical-shaped RFID tag in which the antenna coil is wound around a ferrite rod to increase field strength. The Ruby Inlay is designed to be attached to items containing metal – typically jewelry and watches. The tag is available in various sizes (see SPACECODE Jewelry Tag) and capable of being attached to or integrated with products. Customers can also decide on other customized or branded plastic protection.
The coil windings and the antenna-chip connection are protected by a coating. Further encapsulation or injection in a plastic housing is recommended to ensure sufficient protection against shocks and other mechanical constraints.
The Ruby Inlay was designed for the jewelry and watch industry for optimal performance within all PLEXUS™ cabinets associated with high-density metallic products or environments.
The Jewelry Tag is a rectangular 26 x 16 mm black plastic tag designed to be attached to objects with high metallic content in the PLEXUS™ RFID system such as jewels or watches. It is made from a plastic injection mold integrating a SPACECODE Ruby Inlay.
The front side of the inlay has space for a self-adhesive label containing a 2D or Datamatrix code representing the unique chip identifier number or any other custom information requirements.
The Jewelry Tag is finished with a black 70mm string for reusable attachments to the traced items.
The Gold Inlay is a tamper-proof tag for packaging of gold piecesthat, if opened, will disable the tag, rendering it unusable and alerting nominated persons of the breach of security.
