Press Release, June 26, 2015, Paris: Offenburg-based Kirsch will expand its healthcare product portfolio with the launch of new high-performance refrigerators featuring Spacecode’s RFID technology. The fridges have been specially developed for blood and human specimen tracking, where the powerful RFID guarantees state-of-the-art inventory control and optimized patient care at any time of the day or night.
Commenting on the integration of the new technology, Kirsch CEO Dr Jochen Kopitzke said that his company would score by eliminating manual reconciliation processes, which are always prone to error, and adopting really effective inventory management and control 24/7. “Spacecode meets our rigorous technical requirements and checks all boxes in terms of its ability and commitment in line with our long-term vision of corporate success. We are extremely happy.” Spacecode’s CEO Pavlo Protopapa emphasized his company’s role: “Our RFID is the perfect blood monitoring and management system that will allow Kirsch to continuously report the temperature of the fridge, track the location of a blood bag, and confirm that the assigned bag was transported to the intended patient.”
